Israeli settlers erect tent on Palestinian land in West Bank

WEST BANK, November 17 – Israeli settlers pitched on Tuesday morning a tent a tract of Palestinian-owned land in the West Bank town of Battir, west of Bethlehem.

Hassan Brejeya, director of the Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission in Bethlehem, said that a group of Israeli settlers put up a tent al-Khammar area northeast of the town to prepare the ground for building a new illegal outpost.

Brejeya pointed out that the area has recently seen a surge in illegal settlement activity, including setting up prefabricated houses and tents, building roads for Israeli settlers only.
